Until October 5, the application period for the employment program for the unemployed aged 30 and over ends.
According to a relevant announcement by the Labor Organization for Employment (OAED), due to the particularly high demand of companies for job creation, through the employment program for unemployed people aged 30 and over, the organization’s management decided to suspend the submission of new applications for Tuesday, October 6.
To date, more than 14,500 applications have been submitted for the 8,300 new subsidized jobs under the program, which started on July 15 and subsidizes companies with 75% of salary and insurance contributions (up to 750 euros per month) during 12 months, with the possibility of extension for 9 months or an additional 12 months for the long-term unemployed.
OAED also implements the following six open programs of 35,600 new jobs, with subsidy rates for the employment of the unemployed ranging from 60% to 90% of wage and non-wage costs:
1. Work reintegration control program 9,200 new jobs in private sector companies, with a duration of 12 months, with a gross minimum wage of € 830 for the subsidized unemployed who decide to convert their unemployment benefit into a “control of reintegration in the labor market “. The subsidy amounts to 80% of the monthly salary and non-salary costs, with a maximum of 830 euros per month.
2. Employment program for long-term unemployed 55-67 years, 8,500 new jobs in NPDD, public companies, as well as in companies of the municipalities and the Regions, with a duration of 12 months, with the possibility of extension for 12 months more. The subsidy amounts to 75% of the monthly salary and non-salary costs, with a maximum of 750 euros per month.
3. Employment program for the unemployed aged 18 to 29, 8,000 new jobs in private sector companies, with a duration of 12 months. The subsidy amounts to 75% of the monthly salary and non-salary costs, with a maximum of 750 euros per month.
4. Employment program for unemployed graduates up to 39 years in areas of smart specialization 5,200 new jobs, of 15 months duration, in companies with main activity in: 1) energy, 2) life sciences and health-medicines, 3) environment and sustainable development-climate change, 4) culture, tourism, cultural and creative industries, 5) scientific research and development, 6) manufacturing industry, 7) information and communication technologies, 8) materials-constructions and 9) transport and supply chain (logistics). The subsidy amounts to 60% of the monthly salary and non-salary costs, with a maximum of 800 euros per month.
5. Employment program for unemployed graduates aged 22 to 29, 3,500 new jobs in private sector companies, with a duration of 10 months. The subsidy amounts to 75% of the monthly salary and non-salary costs, with a maximum of 750 euros per month.
6. Employment program for the unemployed from vulnerable social groups 1,200 new jobs in public and private companies, as well as in companies in municipalities and regions, with a duration of 12 months, with the possibility of an extension for a further 12 months. The subsidy amounts to 90% of the monthly salary and non-salary costs, with a maximum of 800 euros per month.
As indicated in the OAED announcement, in the previous programs the conditions for participation have been simplified, the integration, hiring and payment procedures have been speeded up and there are no labor commitments once the subsidy has ended.
The subsidy for paid and unpaid expenses includes the corresponding Christmas, Easter and holiday gifts in the private sector.
