The Vouliagmeni High School will remain closed for 14 days, due to a coronavirus in a teacher, according to a decision made by the Ministry of Health.
The decision was made by the Regional Directorate of Secondary Education after the risk assessment carried out today (09/29), when the existence of the case in the school was confirmed.
In the case of a teacher with a positive result who teaches classes in more than one department, or who has been in contact with more than one person, the protocol stipulates that to determine the necessary measures, a risk assessment must be carried out each time to close contacts. within 48 hours before the onset of symptoms (or up to 10 days after), taking into account the following:
- the number of teaching hours taught in each department,
- how to wear a mask, by himself and by others, in contact with other people,
- how he stayed away from people he came in contact with,
- the duration of contact with these people, etc.
In addition, as reported by the website nou-pou.gr, the possible removal of children / staff from other departments or the entire school it will be examined on a case-by-case basis, depending on the risk assessment that will emerge during the investigation and follow-up of the contacts.
Based on all this, it was decided to suspend the operation of the Vouliagmeni secondary school for 14 days, until October 9.
