The Mein Shiff 6 cruise ship returns to the port of Heraklion, from Milos where it is located, due to 12 cases of coronavirus that were detected and that signaled an alarm.
Specifically, as part of the sampling tests carried out, 150 samples were taken, of which 12 “came out” positive, according to the Creta Live website. They are members of the cruise ship’s crew, which carries more than 1,000 passengers. The patients have already been quarantined and will undergo a new test. The Deputy Minister of Civil Protection and Crisis Management, Nikos Hardalias, has already been informed of the situation. According to information from ERT and the 12 crew members are asymptomatic.
It is noted that the specific ship “cut the bar” for the resumption of the cruise on September 13. Malta and Italy claimed the ship for launch, but TUI chose Heraklion.
