The health authorities confirmed again a relatively high number of new infections by coronavirus, because on the afternoon of Sunday 9/27, the National Public Health Organization (EODY) announced that theThere are 218 new laboratory-confirmed cases of the disease, of which 39 are associated with known confluences and 39 were located after controls at the gates of the country.
Of the 175 domestic cases, 39 are associated with known confluences as mentioned, while 11 are associated with the random sampling action of EODY in central Athens.

The total number of cases is 17444 (daily variation + 1.3%), of which 55.8% men. Of the total cases, 2825 (16.2%) are considered related to travel from abroad, 7242 (41.5%) related to an already known case and the rest are not related to travel or any other known case or are still under investigation.
The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 3, while since its inception epidemic has been recorded a total of 379 deaths. the 142 (37.5%) were women and the rest men. The mean age of our dying fellow citizens was 78 years and 96.6% had some underlying disease and / or were 70 years or older.
The number of of intubated patients are 68. Their average age is 70 years. 16 (23.5%) are women and the rest are men. 86.8% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years or older.
Also 200 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
