Koronovirus: Attica in “red” again with 165 cases -32 cases of infection in Laconia | HELLAS

Coronavirus cases in Greece amount to 315 with Attica again gathering the abundance of infections, as a result of the EODY information.

Specifically, in the Attica Region 165 new cases of coronavirus are registered, which is a little more than half of the 315 that were previously announced by EODY. At the same time, in the regional unit of Laconia, 32 new cases were registered, all related to a known confluence. Meanwhile, in the Thessaloniki Region, another 17 cases were confirmed.

As for imported cases, today there are 20, of which 19 were diagnosed at the gates of the country and another in a voluntary control.

The EODY announcement

Today we announce 315 new cases of the new virus in the country, of which 59 are associated with known outbreaks and 19 were detected after controls at the country’s gateways. The total number of cases is 17,228, of which 55.8% are men.

It is considered that 2,783 (16.2%) are related to trips from abroad and 7,131 (41.4%) are related to an already known case.

68 of our fellow citizens are being treated by intubation. Their average age is 69 years. 16 (23.5%) are women and the rest are men. 86.8% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years or older. 199 patients have been discharged from the ICU.

Finally, we have 7 more registered deaths and 376 deaths in total in the country. 140 (37.2%) women and the rest men. The mean age of our dying fellow citizens was 78 years and 96.8% had some underlying disease and / or were 70 years or older.
