Twelve people discharged, ten in the hospital (video)

HE fire exploded after midnight in an apartment on the third floor of a building located on Socratous street, in the center of Thessaloniki, with the fire brigade to get it under control shortly after 2 a.m.

The apartment building was immediately evacuated with the help of the police, as there were several families, while a PPC team cut the power supply. According to the fire department they were released 12 people, while for precautionary reasons a firefighter was taken to the hospital.

Eight vehicles, tanker trucks and cranes, as well as 24 firefighters tried to reach the scene, while according to the lieutenant general and operations coordinator of the Fire Department, Spyros Varsamis, 10 people had to be transferred to the hospital with respiratory problems.
