Following an earlier announcement about the operations of the Counter-Terrorism Service, following the three arrests and the location of a warehouse – giafka in Koukaki.
The police published the findings of the investigations carried out so far:
In a warehouse on An Street. Zinni no. 16 in Koukaki:
- (7) cylindrical explosive cartridges, each weighing approximately (1,600) gr. (ammonitis),
- (14) common detonators, (2) electric detonators, (2) nonel detonators, (1) common detonator converted to an electric, numerous rifle cartridges (Kalashnikov).

In the houses of the detainees:
- a series of digital documents (tablets, laptops, digital data storage units), as well as (2) guns in the home of one of them.
- All confiscated evidence will be sent to the Directorate of Criminological Investigations for the pertinent laboratory tests.
The possibility of interconnection – participation of detainees in serious terrorist acts and especially in attacks with weapons and explosive devices in Attica, in the last (7) years, is being examined.
In addition, the possibility of their participation in criminal acts of common criminal law throughout the territory is being considered.
Three arrests with the “smell” of terrorism
Police arrested two men, ages 38 and 42, and a 36-year-old woman. Among those arrested is a Paleokostas associate in the kidnapping of businessman George Mylonas in Thessaloniki, and an anti-authoritarian who has been with authorities since the 1990s.
As for the warehouse – giafka, it is located at 126 Anastasiou Zini Street in Koukaki and the information indicates that it was rented approximately a year ago by the detainee who was accused of being an accessory to Paleokostas.
The search of the house was followed by a search of a house where the second man and his girlfriend were arrested, in whose possession two pistols were found.
It is clarified that the detainees, so far, are not accused of participating in any organization, except possession of weapons and explosives, since no evidence has been found in this regard. However, Counter-Terrorism investigations are mainly focused on the Group of Popular Wrestlers, having up to now relevant evidence.
It should be noted that the company EL.AS. it is still ongoing with four household surveys in Attica.
