A happy ending had a police operation that took place in Ptolemaida and lasted more than two hours (from 9:00 p.m. to 11:15 p.m.) on Pavlidi Adamopoulou street when a divorced father of a minor (10 years old) “drummed” inside his refusing to give the child to his mother.
The father who allegedly took the child, today, with the consent of his mother (who has custody of the child), refused to return it to her and the police were notified.
Special police negotiators tried to persuade him to surrender, but he did not respond. Firefighters rushed to the scene with a ladder vehicle so police could try from the balcony. Finally, the man, who was allegedly also holding a knife, was arrested, in the presence of a judge, and taken to the police station, with the child in good health, and returned to his mother.
