An American journalist, Andre Wilcek, was found dead today in a rented car, shortly after his arrival in Istanbul, according to Turkish security sources.
Approaching in a hotel in Karakioi, from Samsun province by car with hired driver behind the wheel, Rossi Indira Vilcek noticed that her husband was not moving.
Call for first aid and Doctors confirmed the death of the journalist, according to the sources who asked not to be identified.
Istanbul prosecutors have launched an investigation into his death.
Wilcek, American citizen, born in the former Soviet UnionAs a journalist, he covered dozens of war zones and conflicts from Iraq, Peru to Sri Lanka, Bosnia, Rwanda, Syria, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and East Timor, according to his website.
