The news from India causes horror and shock, with a 52-year-old man sacrificing a 7-year-old boy in a black magic ceremony to have … a grandson!
The boy was not in the Odisha area when he mysteriously disappeared outside his home. The authorities launched an investigation, which a few days later led them to the shocking truth.
The boy disappeared on September 13 and the next day his bloody clothes were found in a nearby lake. The testimonies, however, led the perpetrator, Laxmidhar Mallick, 52, to the police.
And although the 52-year-old man initially had nothing to do with the victim, as he lacked motivation, Mallick admitted during questioning that he strangled the boy in a black magic ceremony so that his girlfriend could get pregnant and give him a grandson.
Mallick turned to a cult to find a solution to why the couple have yet to have a child. In fact, he went to various doctors with his girlfriend and even turned to Ayurveda, a traditional Indian medical method.
“He consulted a woman known for her black magic ceremonies.” She advised him to sacrifice a child from the same neighborhood to drive away evil spirits, “said Inspector Parida.
The most shocking thing is that the 52-year-old, to persuade the boy to follow him, offered him a chocolate in return. He then took the boy to the lake, where the bloody clothes were found, and strangled him.
