The chicken burgers are being recalled by the Unified Food Control Agency as, after a sampling test, the presence of salmonella was detected.
Specifically, EFET and in particular the Regional Directorate of Thessaly, during the audits, sampled a frozen preparation of poultry meat intended for cooked consumption.
According to a relevant advertisement, the product with the trade name “PLAIN FARMES CHICKEN BURGS” with production date 02/13/20 and expiration date 02/13/21, produced and packed in the EU by the company Pimel Trading ltd. Vasil Aprilov Boulevard. 157, Plovdiv, Bulgaria, was received by the company METRO SA (MyMarket branch) and in collaboration with the EFET Testing and Research Laboratory of Thessaloniki, the presence of the pathogenic microorganism Salmonella spp.
EFET demanded the immediate withdrawal of the entire batch of the product in question and the relevant controls are already in place. At the same time, it asks consumers who have bought the product not to consume it.
