Coronavirus in Greece: 170 new cases in the country – Seven dead in 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, 170 new cases of coronavirus were registered in Greece, of which 33 are associated with known outbreaks and 12 were detected after controls at the country’s gates.

155 were domestic cases and 33 are associated with known confluences. Of the current cases, 89 were located in Attica (see map). Nineteen cases are under investigation

According to the official EODY announcement, the total number of cases is 15,142, of which 55.7% are men. It is considered that 2,591 (17.1%) are related to trips from abroad and 6,348 (41.9%) are related to an already known case.

A total of 78 people are being treated by intubation. Their average age is 68 years. 24 (30.8%) are women and the rest are men. 70.5% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years or older, while 177 patients have been discharged from the ICU.

Finally, we have 7 more deaths registered and 338 deaths in total in the country. 126 (37.3%) women and the rest men. The median age of death was 78 years and 96.4% had an underlying disease and / or were 70 years or older.

Seven more people lost the battle for their lives due to complications from the coronavirus in the last 24 hours, raising the report of the pandemic in our country to 338 deaths.

The latest victim is a 73-year-old man who was treated at the Katerini General Hospital. Earlier it was reported that a 55-year-old man who was treated in the “Sotiria” hospital ended up. An 84-year-old man, who was also treated at the “Sotiria” hospital, also died of coronavirus.

Also died a 74-year-old woman who was hospitalized in an ICU bed and ended at 2:00 am on Sunday at the AHEPA hospital in Thessaloniki, and an 88-year-old woman who was hospitalized in a single bed in Sotiria since 17 of September.

• 2 cases in PE Preveza

• 22 cases in PE Samos, of which 21 are connected by confluence in the KYT of Samos

• 1 case in PE Trikala

• 19 cases are under investigation
