Bad weather “Ianos”: Emergency traffic regulations in Achaia, Ilia and Etoloakarnania | HELLAS

In Achaia, Ilia and Etoloakarnania temporary traffic regulations are in force, according to the police, due to the intense meteorological phenomena expected in Western Greece from “Ianos” and with the aim of safe traffic.

According to EL.AS., the regulations are as follows:

IN ACHAIA

Specifically, in Acaya, trucks with a payload greater than 1.5 tons and buses, as well as all types of vehicles that pull wheels, will be prohibited at the following points of the road network until 9:00 a.m. tomorrow night.

• At Olympia Odos, from kilometer 205 to kilometer 222,920 position.
• Along the Patras-Pyrgos national road, the old Patras-Pyrgos national road, as well as the old Patras-Corinth national road.
• On the Rio-Antirio bridge in both traffic streams.
• In addition, there will be a total cessation of vehicle and pedestrian traffic on the old Rodia Egialia bridge, which connects the local communities of Nikolaika and Rodia, starting at 06:00 am tomorrow and for a period of 48 hours.

IN ILIA

In the regional unit of Ilia, the prohibition of circulation of the aforementioned vehicles will be valid until the weakening of the meteorological phenomena, at the following points of the road network:

• On the new national road Patras – Pyrgos, from the height of the local community Vouprasio, to Pyrgos.
• On the new Pyrgos – Kyparissia national road, from kilometer 4 to the river bridge, Neda.
• On the national road Tripoli – Pyrgos, from the borders of the regional unit of Arcadia to Pyrgos.

IN AETOLOAKARNANIA

In the regional unit of Etoloakarnania, the traffic ban of the aforementioned vehicles will be valid until the end of the weather, at the following points of the road network:

• In Ionia Odos, from the Antirrio unevenness to the Artà unevenness.
• On the new Antirriou-Ioannina national highway, from the Antirrio junction to the Alabei bridge and from kilometer position 59 + 681 to kilometer 139.
• On the Antirriou-Iteas national highway, from the Antirrio junction to the Mornos bridge.
• On the Amfilochia – Lefkada national highway, from Amfilochia to kilometer 53.
