The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) informs the passenger public about the air instructions (notams) that will be valid until Wednesday, September 30, 2020 and aim to protect passengers and citizens from the COVID-19 pandemic:

* It is announced that with a new air directive that will be valid from Friday, September 18 with a duration of until September 30, those who travel to Greece by air connection from Hungary will enter our country only with a negative Covid-19 test that will have been made up to 72 hours before your arrival.

* The aviation directive (notam) regarding the suspension of flights between Greece and Turkey is extended until 9/30/2020 at midnight.

* The air directive runs until 9/30/2020 at 23:59, which stipulates that all flights to and from Greece from Albania and North Macedonia will be operated only on the AIA “Eleftherios Venizelos”, excluding routes. at other airports.

* The notam is also extended until September 30, which stipulates that those who travel to Greece by air from Bulgaria, Romania, United Arab Emirates, Malta, Belgium, Spain, Albania and North Macedonia will enter our country with only one test Covid-19 negative. to be done up to 72 hours before your arrival. Of this specific air directive in relation to the pre-existing one, Sweden is removed from the list of arrivals only with a negative test of 72 hours, but it is still the measure of carrying out sampling tests for covid-19 to passengers from the Scandinavian country.

* At the same time, the aviation directive is extended until 9/30/2020, which provides for the prohibition of non-European citizens (non-EU citizens) from entering the country. Citizens of the following 11 countries are excluded from this note: Australia, Canada, Georgia, Japan, New Zealand, Rwanda, South Korea, Thailand, Tunisia, Uruguay, and the United Arab Emirates.

* Regarding the air directive (notam) relative to travelers from Israel, it also extends until September 30 and establishes that those who travel to Greece by air connection from Israel will enter our country only with a negative Covid-19 test, which will be performed by the PCR method (taking pharyngeal or nasopharyngeal smear), up to 72 hours before your arrival. Additionally, permanent residents of Israel coming to Greece will be retested for COVID-19, while a maximum entry limit of 5,000 passengers per week is set for 1,200 people and arrivals at all airports in Greece instead of restricting arrivals only to Athens. Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Corfu and Kos provided by the above notam.

* The temporary suspension of all passenger flights between Greece and the Catalonia region in Spain runs until 9/30/2020.

* The CAA also informs about the extension until September 30 of the mandatory completion of the Passenger Locator Form (PLF) at the email address of all passengers on international flights to Greece. Completion can be done no later than the day before arrival. Please note that before accepting passengers for boarding, airlines must verify: a) PLF shipping confirmation at least the day before the flight, which is a mandatory travel document. b) the correspondence with the QR code and the PLF. Airlines that do not comply with this control obligation will be responsible for the repatriation of passengers under the responsibility of the company.

* It is recalled that until September 21, 2020 the aviation directive (notam) for Russia is valid, which provides for entry only with a negative covid-19 test at the airports of Athens, Thessaloniki and Heraklion, as well as a maximum of 500 passengers per week. In any case, permanent residents of Russia coming to Greece will be re-tested for covid-19.

For notams (extensions, replacements, new and modifications), exceptions to pre-existing airline directives apply. Greek repatriation programs are also excluded.
