Coronavirus: The death toll from the pandemic in our country is increasing, the latest victim being a 60-year-old patient in Alexandroupolis.
Another man died of coronavirus in Greece, raising the death toll to 312, at a time when there is great concern about the increase in intubated patients.
The latest victim of the deadly virus is a 60-year-old man in an Alexandroupolis hospital. who was admitted to the Kavala hospital on August 28 and was transferred to the PGNA the same day.
By September 10, his condition had worsened and he was admitted to the ICU.
Four days later at 11:30 am on Monday, it concluded. The 60-year-old man suffered from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
It is recalled that on Monday EODY announced 180 new cases of coronavirus in the country, of which 22 are associated with known outbreaks and 21 were detected after controls at the entrance doors.
The total number of cases is 13,420, of which 55.4% are men. 2,419 (18.0%) are considered related to trips from abroad and 5789 (43.1%) are related to an already known case.
Meanwhile, 59 of our fellow citizens are being treated by intubation. Their average age is 70 years. 12 (22.2%) are women and the rest are men. 88.9% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years or older. 173 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
