The 200-passenger flight to Heraklion’s “N. Kazantzakis” airport was due to depart at 22:40 on Friday night. The specific passenger boarded the plane with a delay of around 10:20 p.m. and sat in his seat without wearing a mask. He was immediately advised by his flight attendants to take the necessary measures against the coronavirus, but he stubbornly refused.
He then moved to another location on the plane, while the other passengers began to protest loudly. The aircraft crew informed airport security about the incident, which caused an escalation of tension on the passenger side, who apparently fainted when airport security men and crew members attempted to remove her from the plane. .
A few minutes later, an ambulance rushed to the tarmac to pick up the woman, while the other passengers wondered how she managed to get through airport controls and board the plane without wearing a mask.
The flight finally took off shortly after 11:30 p.m. with a delay of about an hour.
