The explosion of coronavirus cases on Thursday with 372 new cases generates concern, concern and thoughts for new emergency measures to experts but also to the country’s political authorities.
Of course, it should be noted that of the new cases, almost half (164) are due to 3 groups of known case flows. In fact, all 114 come from a canning factory in Giannitsa which, by order of Hardalia, suspended its operation.
In addition to the over-transmission outbreak in Giannitsa, 34 cases were detected in the last 24 hours at a recycling plant in Aspropyrgos and another 20 from previous days.
Attica found itself in the red again with 133 cases, 29 of which are related to an outbreak in a recycling industry.
In any case, the report was heavy and now health authorities and political leaders are studying ways to stop the outbreak. Inevitably, the scenarios for new measures return to the forefront, something that happened in the four regional units of Central Macedonia (Pella, Imathia, Pieria and Kilkis), where the local mini-closures were activated.
Crucial decisions are expected to be made at the meeting of health authorities with political authorities on Friday. According to the information, thoughts have already fallen on the table to limit the number of people in outdoor gatherings, as well as to toughen the use of the mask in all indoor areas.
However, the issue of imposing an outdoor mask measure in Attica is not currently being considered.
