The camp burned down

The Moria camp burned down and continues to burn almost entirely, while large numbers of refugees and migrants have fled to the surrounding mountains. Many are also heading to the city. 
The reason was the announcement that 35 people tested positive for the coronavirus and should be isolated along with their relatives and those who had been identified as their contacts. 
This would be done in warehouses outside the KYT on the road to Panagiouda.
Some of them reacted to the prospect of isolation and refused to leave the field. 
Others tried to leave the camp late at night, moving towards the mountain, believing that in this way they would escape the danger of the coronavirus, which would be caused by contact with those who refused to leave. 
The clashes between them soon sparked fires, initially around the camp, which burned all the tents outside and around the KYT and the containers inside.
To the city
A large number of refugees and immigrants moved towards the city, passing through the town of Moria, while MAT squads with cages blocked the area at the height of Kara Tepe, preventing them from entering the city.

The commander of the Fire Service, Konstantinos Theofilopoulos, is heading directly to the area to coordinate the operation, as has the mayor of West Lesbos, Brigadier General Verros, who has given the order to help the tanker trucks. 
Strong forces
According to the Fire Department, 23 firefighters, 1 group of pedestrians and 8 vehicles were immediately mobilized, while water tankers from the West Lesbos municipality are also attending.
