The Dutch Foreign Ministry changed its travel directive for the Greek islands to orange, due to the increase in cases of the new coronavirus in Greece. This means that the Dutch are urged to avoid all unnecessary travel and those returning from vacation will be quarantined for 10 days.
Many Dutch are organizing autumn holidays in Greece and that is why the country’s Institute of Public Health asked experts to verify the situation in Greece.
Meanwhile, officials are working on a list of people who will not need to be quarantined when they return from the “orange zones.” Passengers in transit, those who work on ships and those with “compelling reasons” to visit relatives are currently excluded, while according to the Dutch daily “Telegraaf”, other professionals are expected to join this list.
It is recalled that on Monday the United Kingdom announced a similar decision, quarantining those who returned from seven Greek islands.
