A fire broke out at noon on Tuesday (09/08) in a forest area in Karpenisi.
According to the Fire Service, the flames are burning fir and holly trees in the Dermati area of the Karpenisi municipality.
The fire burns in an area inaccessible for this reason and they have been “thrown” in the battle of fire suppression by air while the villages and settlements are not threatened.
At the point, 23 firefighters operate with 9 vehicles, a group of pedestrians, assisted by local authorities that transport water and construction machinery. From the air, 2 planes and 1 helicopter participate in the operation.
