A demonstration and a march against the use of the mask in schools took place in the afternoon in Athens, Thessaloniki and other cities in the region, following an online call.

The meeting with the participation of hundreds of people, in Athens was held in Syntagma Square, while in Thessaloniki at the statue of Alexander the Great and then a procession took place, with a central banner that read “Hands off our children “. The protesters with Greek flags, among others, chanted slogans against Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Deputy Minister of Civil Protection and Crisis Management Nikos Hardalias and the leadership of the Ministry of Education.

During the mobilization, both in Athens and Thessaloniki, protesters said they were determined not to let their children go to school in disguise, while at the Thessaloniki rally there was a reaction to the presence of the media.

At rallies, protesters burned and trampled masks.
