Kosovo 1-2 Greece: Won and Top – Greece National Team

Greece lined up with changes relative to the first match against Slovenia, as Stafilidis, Fortounis and Koulouris took the places of Siova, Mandalos and Pavlidis. The representative team did not change their line-up with Fortounis playing on the left and Limnios on the right and Bacaceta behind Koulouris.

1. FROM A QUICK GOAL IN EACH HALF

Against Kosovo, Greece had what every team wants, a quick goal in every half. John Van Seep’s team managed to get strong in the match and scored just in minute 2 with Limnios after a good attack and three quick passes that brought the Nacional forward closer to Wijani. Limnios with a double effort sent the ball to the net and celebrated with fury and at the same time banished the stress of his teammates.

In the second half, Greece again found a quick goal for 2-0. Giannoulis crossed and Siovas, who had passed in the match instead of Stafyllidis, marvelously lowered the ball, turned around and scored, scoring his first goal for the Greek National Team.

2. SERIOUS AND DISCIPLINED

The two quick goals helped Van Sip’s team shake off the stress of the match. Ethniki may not have been motivated by his performance but he was serious and disciplined, he was not threatened, except in the last ten minutes, he kept Kosovo for the most part away from Barça’s home and managed to achieve victory and triple.

Greece kept the ball on its feet longer, had other beautiful energies and scoring opportunities with Bacaceta and Koulouris and could have scored other goals before completing 70 minutes of play.

3. HE WAS UNFORTUNATE

Greece was also unlucky during the match, seeing Costas Stafyllidis leave the match before the end of the first 45 minutes. Van Sip’s team captain fell and struck in the 36th minute and pulled his left shoulder out. Therefore, the Dutch manager was forced to make a forced change that may have partially changed his plans with the pass of Siovas instead of Stafillidis.

This misfortune, of course, brought into play the second top scorer for the Greek National, Siovas, who had remained on the bench, albeit one of the best in the first match against Slovenia.

4. REDUCE SCORE DIFFICULTIES

Kosovo had its moments and was able to reduce the score to 82 ‘with a beautiful goal from Bernard Berisha with a shot. After this goal, the hosts had the advantage in the match with Greece giving up space and Kosovo threatened twice more until the end of the match, but in the end Greece was able to hold the victory to the end.
