Significantly reduced compared to the previous days, coronavirus cases appeared today in Greece. Specifically, EODY announced 144 confirmed cases of the deadly virus in our country, of which 24 were identified after controls at the country’s entry gates.
Regarding the distribution of cases, of 119 domestic cases, 20 are associated with outbreaks, while 13 report a recent trip within the country.
As every day, Attica tops the list with more cases, counting 51. Thessaloniki follows with 9 cases, while the same number of cases counts Pella and Pieria.
Finally, 7 cases are identified in Heraklion and 6 in Kozani.

More than 11,000 cases
The total number of cases is 11,524, of which 55.7% are men, while 2,245 (19.5%) are considered related to travel from abroad and 5,017 (43.5%) are related to a case already known.
In addition, 41 of our fellow citizens are being treated by intubation. Their average age is 70 years. 10 (24.4%) are women and the rest are men. 92.7% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years or older. 161 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
Finally, we have 4 more deaths registered and 284 deaths in total in the country. 106 (37.3%) women and the rest men. The mean age of our dying fellow citizens was 78 years and 96.1% had an underlying disease and / or were 70 years or older.

Geographic dispersion
