Alerts British police to a serious bloody incident in Birmingham with authorities speaking of several injured, unable to determine their number or status at the moment.
West Midlands police investigations are in full swing after the overnight stabbings in Birmingham.
Police said they were called about half an hour after midnight after a man was stabbed in the city center before being informed of other similar incidents later.
“We know that several people have been injured, but at the moment we cannot say how many and how seriously,” he said of the “serious incident,” a term he uses when there is a serious threat to the safety of citizens.
The police pointed out that “at this initial stage it would not be correct to speculate on the causes”, adding that “it may take some time before we can confirm anything.”
Ambulances rushed to the scene to provide medical assistance to the injured, while authorities are asking residents to avoid the scene and remain calm.
