Today we announce 187 new cases of the new virus in the country, of which 27 were detected after controls on the country’s portals. The total number of cases is 11,386, of which 55.7% are men.

2,219 (19.5%) are considered related to trips from abroad and 4,970 (43.7%) are related to an already known case.

40 of our fellow citizens are being treated by intubation. Their average age is 70 years. 10 (25.0%) are women and the rest are men. 82.5% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years or older. 157 patients have been discharged from the ICU.

Finally, we have 1 more registered death and 280 deaths in total in the country. 103 (36.8%) women and the rest men. The mean age of our dying fellow citizens was 78 years and 96.1% had an underlying disease and / or were 70 years or older.

The data presented refer to cases of the epidemiological surveillance of the new coronavirus disease (COVID19), based on the data reported to EODY and registered until September 5, 2020 (3:00 p.m.). The new cases of the disease confirmed by laboratory are 187, of which 27 were identified after controls at the gates of the country. The total number of cases is 11,386 (daily variation + 1.7%), of which 55.7% are men. 1 The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 1, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 280 deaths have been registered. The median age of the patients who died was 78 years. The number of patients treated by intubation is 40 (75.0% men).
