The course of tof the epidemic coronavirus in Greece as on Saturday afternoon (5/9) the National Public Health Organization (EODY) announced that The new cases of the disease confirmed by laboratory are 187, of which 27 were identified after controls at the gates of the country.
The total number of cases is 11,386 (daily variation + 1.7%), of which 55.7% are men. 2,219 (19.5%) are considered related to trips from abroad and 4,970 (43.7%) are related to an already known case.
There was a new death of a patient while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 280 deaths have been registered. The median age of the patients who died was 78 years.
The number of patients treated by intubation is 40. Their average age is 70 years. 10 (25.0%) are women and the rest are men. 82.5% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years or older.
Also 157 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
