The care for nursing homes, where several coronavirus outbreaks have been registered lately, was called by the Deputy Minister of Civil Protection, Nikos Hardalias, during the briefing at the Ministry of Health.
Attica remains in the vortex of the coronavirus, where today, Friday (4/9) 86 of the total of 202 new cases in the country were identified.
“We are at a critical juncture but so far there is no reason to panic,” said the Deputy Minister of Civil Protection, Nikos Hardalias, during the briefing on the course of the pandemic.
Especially for Attica He stressed that two daily technical meetings are held with experts to examine developments and epidemiological data, municipality by municipality, region by region.
“We see all the real data and accordingly we are preparing ourselves, either to suggest, or to implement, or to pull measures that will evolve slowly,” emphasized Mr. Hardalias.
“We abstain from the local confinement”
The undersecretary stressed that we are far from a local confinement and that there are many stages and intermediate and effective measures before reaching barricades and prohibitions, at least as far as Attica is concerned.
“I think we are still far from local lockdowns and we have a lot of tools, measures in our quiver, so that we can avoid something like this in the future.”
