The ire of the British media has been sparked by the behavior of British tourists on Zakynthos.
In fact, the fact that they visited the Greek island for fun without observing any self-protection measures caused many to return from the island with a coronavirus.
The British Daily Mail even published a video showing dozens of drunken Britons ignoring any protection measures.
The video was recorded at a party on a tourist boat with tourists without masks and hugging without distance.
According to the British website, Jamie Rainy, 20, who contracted the coronavirus along with seven other friends, regretted being so reckless, saying “I feel so stupid.”
According to the article, several of the participants in the party first went to a bar on the island and after midnight they headed to the beaches.
“It was stupid on my part, it wasn’t worth what I’m going through now, I feel a great guilt. Behaviors like mine could start a second wave of coronavirus. “My message is whether you should go on vacation to relax without visiting bars and clubs,” Rainy said.
The 20-year-old traveled to Greece on August 22 and spent four days in Zakynthos where, he describes, “We did everything. We rented a boat, went to a water park, used jet skis and did lots of fun things.”
