What experts say about the strange phenomenon
At the sight of a strange phenomenon for the second time in a few days were those who took a walk late Wednesday night in the Port of Thessaloniki.
Hundreds of small, live fish landed or … jumped frantically off the edge of the harbor into the sea.
This is the second similar phenomenon to occur in Thessaloniki, as dozens of dead fish were found last Thursday night in Nea Paralia, Thessaloniki.
It is estimated that either the small fish were hunted by larger fish and went ashore in search of a way to escape or the phenomenon is due to the high temperatures observed in recent days.
However, as Aris Frantzeskakis, who posted the relevant video on Facebook, comments, passersby tried to throw the fish into the sea again.
