With constant rate the epidemic continues to spread coronavirus in Greece as on Wednesday afternoon (2/9) the National Public Health Organization (EODY) announced 233 new cases of the new virus in the country, of which 20 were detected after controls at the country’s gateways.
The total number of cases is 10,757, of which 55.6% are men. 2,141 (19.9%) are considered related to trips from abroad and 4,779 (44.4%) are related to a known case.
To our 38 fellow citizens who are treated by intubation. Their average age is 68 years. 10 (26.3%) are women and the rest are men. 94.7% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years or older.
Likewise, 154 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
Finally, we have 2 more deaths registered and 273 deaths in total in the country. 99 (36.3%) women and the rest men. The mean age of our dying fellow citizens was 78 years and 96.0% had some underlying disease and / or were 70 years or older.
