Koronaios: What is changing in the areas where the emergency restrictive measures are in place?

The changes in the areas that are under the regime of special restrictive measures due to the coronavirus were announced by the Deputy Minister of Civil Protection and Crisis Management, Nikos Hardalias.

During the talk on the evolution of the pandemic in the country, Mr. Hardalias affirmed that “we are constantly updating our practice according to the data. The big bet is to continue advancing effectively.”

In this context, he announced that with the consent of the commission, in areas where there are restrictive measures, the operation of public markets will be allowed as of Thursday, September 3, as follows:

  • In each popular market of sellers, producers and professionals who are active only in it, sellers will participate at a rate of 50% per category of sellers.
  • There will be a mandatory distance of 5 meters between the benches, with the intermediate space empty, free of objects.
  • Wearing a mask is mandatory.

According to Mr. Hardalias, compliance with the above measures will be closely monitored by the competent bodies.

It is noted that the areas that are under a special regime of restrictive measures are Chania, Heraklion, Halkidiki, Paros, Antiparos, Lesbos, Mykonos and Zakynthos.
