Tayyip Erdogan made slanderous comments against Greece in a speech in Ankara on Tuesday, maintaining extreme rhetoric.
The Turkish president spoke of a “shadow game” and said that “it is fun (for other countries) to use Greece as bait, which is incapable, against a regional and global power like Turkey.”
Turkey’s activities in the eastern Mediterranean and the Aegean are based on the pursuit of rights and justice, he added.
He spoke in support of the Alliance of America, but said maintaining some independence was not the answer.
“The era of the colonial powers is over. “We believe that in this new period, Turkey’s allies will gradually increase,” he continued.
The President of Turkey insisted on extreme rhetoric of the last period and yesterday Monday.
Athens responds with anti-NAVTEX to Ankara: “Greece is not blackmailed”
Meanwhile, the Navy Hydrographic Service station in Heraklion, Crete issued anti-NAVTEX on the occasion of the new illegal NAVTEX issued yesterday Monday by Turkey for the research vessel “Oruts Reyes”.
It is recalled that on Monday evening, Turkey issued a new NAVTEX for the research vessel “Oruts Reyes”, with the new directive valid until 12 September. It should be noted that this is the third consecutive renewal of the ship’s operational activities through NAVTEX, since last Thursday it was extended for the second time until yesterday.
Shortly after midnight, the Foreign Ministry issued a statement announcing that “Turkey continues to faithfully fulfill its role of unrest and instability in the region. Ignore calls for dialogue and increase your challenges. Get caught up in the deadlocks of your own decisions. Undermine security and stability in the region by forcing the international community to act. ” The foreign minister added that Greece is not being blackmailed.
