Dozens of coronavirus cases in a structure in Byron

The coronavirus cases have turned up in a structure housing minors in Byron. The structure is already in quarantine.

Specifically, 30 cases of coronavirus were detected. An EODY ladder has rushed into the structure, as after a sampling check, many cases were identified among guests and staff. 8 employees and 22 guests have been found in the structure. Submission of all the minors housed to molecular control has already been started, while the follow-up of their contacts and staff has also begun.

From 9:00 p.m. on Monday, 8/31, and for 14 days, until 09-14-2020 and at 9:00 p.m., the quarantine will be valid in the accommodation structure for unaccompanied minors in Byron, Attica, where the 28 cases were detected of coronavirus, after controls of the EODY scales, according to an announcement by the General Secretariat of Civil Protection.

According to the decision:

• The possibility of entering and leaving the previous accommodation structure is suspended, except for the unit staff, which can be changed every 48 hours.

• The supply and provision of basic necessities (food, medicine, etc.) in the previous hospitality structure will be carried out by the suppliers, without the possibility of entering it, observing all the necessary hygiene measures.
