Markopoulo City Council operations are temporarily suspended with the City Council closing due to coronavirus cases.
The event was announced by the Markopoulo City Council itself with a relevant announcement.
As indicated in the announcement, “for the protection of employees and citizens who trade with the services of the Municipality, as a precautionary measure, all the services of our Municipality will remain closed until further notice.” However, Avlakiou beach, technical service, construction service, social service and municipal stadium are excluded from the closure.

With its latest update, the Municipality announced the cancellation of all cultural events planned for the municipality for September. In turn, the collection of all confirmed debts of citizens is suspended and the deadline for the settlement of changes in square meters is extended until September 30, 2020.
An EODY staff has been called to the city hall to inspect all municipal employees, while all closed municipal areas are disinfected.
