The humpback whale belongs to the category of mammals “whales” just like other whales and dolphins. It is 11-18 m long. She holds the record for diving whales, as she can dive to a depth of 2,250 m.
Bellows resemble whales, but they have teeth (rather than whales), which is why they are considered relatives of dolphins. To feed on the squid, the bellows dive to a depth of 500-1,000 m. For 25-60 minutes for males and for 20-24 minutes for females, although the deepest dives recorded were close to 2,000 m and 2 hours. Blowers live 70 years or more.
