Ankara continues the crescendo of provocations, with Turkey’s Foreign Ministry issuing another incendiary statement, taking witness to the provocations from the country’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
This announcement was made on the occasion of the reports that speak of the presence of Greek National Guards in Kastellorizo.
Referring to the Paris peace treaty, the Turkish Foreign Minister stressed that “if the reports are correct, this is another indication that Greece does not respect international law and at the same time shows its true intentions in the Eastern Mediterranean.” 
In fact, he explains that “we will not allow such a challenge to achieve its purpose, right off our shores.”
He clarifies that “such provocative actions will not help Greece at all” and that “if Greece continues to increase tension in the region, it will be defeated.”
“Turkey is determined to protect its rights and benefits until the end of international law,” the statement concluded.
