Koronaios: Rain fines for not wearing a mask: 330 violations on Saturday

ELAS controls for the implementation of measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus continue with undiminished intensity

A total of 32 infractions of businesses – private companies and 330 those related to the non-use of a mask or the breach of the prescribed distances – amounted to 58,466 inspections carried out by ELAS, yesterday, throughout the country.

In particular, according to ELAS, the following violations were confirmed:

– 23 stores and private companies did not follow the store operating rules.

– 3 stores had a large number of customers, of which 2 in the South Aegean and 1 in Crete. They were suspended. Since the beginning of August, a total of 477 relevant violations have been confirmed and 28 people have been arrested.

– 6 stores were open after 24:00. They were fined 10,000 euros and suspended for three days: 3 in Attica, 2 in Crete and 1 in the Ionian Islands. Since the entry into force of the measure, a total of 62 relevant infractions have been confirmed.

– 5 offenses related to the non-completion of the Passenger Location Form by a traveler. A total of 121 related rapes have been confirmed since early August.

– 330 citizens did not wear a mask or did not maintain the prescribed distance. Equal fines of 150 euros were imposed, as follows: 59 in Central Macedonia, 48 in the Ionian Islands, 40 in Thessaloniki, 37 in Crete, 29 in Central Greece, 23 in Western Greece, 20 in East Macedonia and Thrace, 20 in the North Aegean, 16 in Attica, 15 in the Peloponnese, 8 in Thessaly, 7 in the South Aegean, 5 in Epirus and 3 in Western Macedonia. Since the beginning of August, a total of 10,515 infractions have been confirmed and 10,506 fines of 150 euros and 9 of 300 euros have been imposed.

At the same time, in the Cyclades, 52 inspections were carried out in shops, businesses, etc., while 1 violation was confirmed for not wearing a mask in areas – islands under the jurisdiction of the TA. Paros (Paros, Antiparos).
