The spread of the coronavirus in Greece continues as EODY announced on Saturday afternoon (8/29) that theNew laboratory-confirmed cases of the disease are 177, of which 20 were located after controls at the gates of the country.
Of the 156 domestic cases, 21 are associated with confirmed case contact, 18 with known outbreaks, and 12 with recent travel within the country.

The total number of cases is 9977 (daily variation + 1.8%), of which 55.6% are men. 2,033 (20.4%) are considered related to trips from abroad and 4402 (44.1%) are related to an already known case.
There has been a new death of a patient with COVID-19 1, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 260 deaths have been registered. 92 were (35.4%) women and the rest men. The mean age of our dying fellow citizens was 77 years and 93.8% had some underlying disease and / or were 70 years or older.
The number of patients treated by intubation is 36 (69.4% men). Their average age is 68 years. 11 (30.6%) are women and the rest are men. 47.2% have an underlying disease or are 70 years or older.
A total of 148 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
