Zakynthos: Extraordinary SMS 112 for coronavirus – “Be on the lookout”

An emergency message for the coronavirus in Zakynthos was sent in the afternoon to permanent residents and visitors to the island by the general secretary of Civil Protection through 112.

“General Secretariat for Civil Protection. Increase in the epidemiological burden of COVID-19 in Zakynthos. You must wear a mask. Be vigilant, stay safe, stay healthy. Follow protection measures”, is noted in the message that refers to link with the emergency measures for the island that were decided yesterday.

The SMS is written in two languages, Greek and English.

In detail, after an extraordinary meeting held today at the Civil Protection Operations Center and taking into account epidemiological data, the following restrictive measures were decided for both Zakynthos and Lesbos:

– Suspension of any type of event such as parties, fairs, processions, public markets, etc.

– Prohibition of any type of meeting of citizens over 9 people for any reason, both in public and in private.
– In the dining areas, a maximum number of people at each table is allowed up to 4 people, unless they are first-degree relatives where up to 6 people are allowed.
– Mandatory use of a mask both indoors and outdoors.
– It is recalled that the ban on the operation of all shops of natural interest is already in force from 12 at night until 07:00 the next day in PE Zakynthos and in PE Lesbos.

They remain under special restrictive measures Chania, Halkidiki, Mykonos, Paros and Antiparos.
