35 other cases in Nea Smyrni, Larissa

As of today, a part of the Nea Smyrni district in Larissa is in a state of “enhanced vigilance” again, after the new 35 positive cases of coronavirus, which emerged from the 637 EODY samples yesterday.

Furthermore, after consulting with Professor Sotiris Tsiordas, other measures were decided, such as:

a) Put the following area of ​​the Nea Smyrni district of the municipality of Larissa, and specifically the area located between Dositheou (right) – Zanou (DE) – Pezodromos (left) – Pezodromos, in a state of improved surveillance for public health reasons. In the context of the previous decision and for its implementation, the following measures are launched by decision of the Secretary General of Civil Protection Vassilis Papageorgiou:

– Prohibition of movement from 22.00 to 06.00, which will be valid from today 15-5-2020 and for 14 days. Traffic is allowed only for serious health reasons.

– Ban on gathering more than ten people and strict monitoring of the measure.

-Mandatory use of a mask for everyone.

-Street vendors may leave the Nea Smyrni area to go to work if they have two consecutive negative tests, which will be repeated every five days.

From the Thessaly Region, cloth masks (1,500 pieces) will be distributed to everyone and antiseptics to each family.

Tomorrow 15/05/2020, the EODY Mobile Health Groups will carry out a sample to the retailers and the rest who were absent from their home in the previous days, as well as the follow-up of positive cases.

The Greek police and the municipal police are responsible for ensuring the application of this law, the detection of violations and the imposition of prescribed administrative sanctions.
