Hotels say hoteliers and accommodation owners in the country are invited to swim in murky waters. They express their anxiety about whether tourists will come in these conditions, but also their concern about the functionality of the required measures.
Next week, the government will announce a plan to operate hotels. According to the information, the 12-month hotels will normally start on June 1, while the operation of the seasonal hotels will accelerate in 15 days and for them the season will start on June 15.
Nikos Chalkiadakis, President of Hoteliers of Heraklion, speaking to SKAI, said characteristically: “We would rather not open than do hotels in hotels …”
Hotels, antiseptics, masks and thermometers make up this year’s image. They will remind hospitals that employers fear that all of the above measures will avoid customers and increase operating costs.
Ioannis Panagiotakos, a hotelier in Mani, said the main concern is how entrepreneurs will deal with these measures and whether they can become a reality.
Strict cleaning and disinfection protocols are planned for hotel rooms and rooms. The entrances and exits of each room and possibly the routes within the complex will be precisely defined for each room so that visitors do not coincide as much as possible. Meals in rooms are expected to multiply as people avoid contact.

Preparations are also hot at hotels on the waterfront in Athens.
Markos Lampiris, hotel manager, said the masks will be mandatory and that all measurements will be followed according to the instructions.
Hoteliers agree to adhere to strict measures to receive visitors safely.
Industry, which is the heavy industry of Greece, is called to give the most difficult battle in recent years, since this summer will have nothing to do with the previous ones.
