Reflections on the opening of the restaurant | Politics

Mr. Mitsotakis spoke yesterday at the meeting of the infectious disease specialists committee of the Ministry of Health. The Prime Minister thanked them “for the services they have provided to public health and to the country to face the pandemic.”

This week of decisions has begun for two very critical areas: restoration and tourism. At Maximou, meetings are continuous and monitor all data, always under the guidance of experts. The data is as follows: There is a very careful approach to restoration as the JMC is expected to be issued within a week, which will essentially be the roadmap for opening stores. Currently, the plan is to open the restaurant on June 1, but no one can rule out that it will go sooner. The relevant suggestions, as “K” has written, have been there for a week, but have now become even more intense due to what is happening in the boxes. The logic is that citizens currently have nowhere to go and opening the restaurant with specific rules will act as a decompression valve. In government, however, they are constantly reducing the issue of the square and do not seek to give it more dimension.

But at the same time they are sending a message that the measures are being taken. Characteristic is what Mr. Mitsotakis from Ymittos said, where he was present for the start of the firefighting season: for several weeks, collective cooperation and individual responsibility are required. “The Prime Minister also sent a message about what What is happening in the squares, saying that the crown “is not a field of political or ideological confrontation.” Nor do we make any kind of “resistance” on the part of all of us gathered in a square without following basic hygiene rules. Hence, I think everything will be fine and we will show the same responsibility that we have shown as a whole, as a society, in the last two months. ” The government hopes that the individual overpopulation to be created will be reduced as soon as next Monday when the movement towards continental Greece opens and there will be a diffusion of a part of the world towards the Region. However, this perspective does not mean that the opening of the restaurant is not yet on the table before June 1, as it is, among other things, a key link in the economic chain.

A category in itself is tourism. Final decisions are very close to being made, as details and institutional meetings with the relevant organizations in the world of tourism are pending. At the same time, they will wait in Maximou tomorrow for the day when the Commission publishes its own protocols. In any case, bilateral agreements, as “K” wrote on Saturday, with countries like Israel and Cyprus are on the table, while road tourism from the Balkans is expected to be emphasized. Finally, with regard to the islands, as indicated by the competent minister, Mr. Plakiotakis, the opening will take place in three phases. The first phase is a fact, since the transfer of employees has been allowed since yesterday. The second “liberation” will probably take place on May 18, along with mainland Greece, and will involve large islands like Crete and Rhodes. On the same date, Argosaronikos will launch unexpectedly. Logic is common. Crete has large hospitals, while the Saronic Gulf is essentially an extension of Attica and has no reason to be excluded. The third phase will cover the island of Greece as a whole, either on May 25 or June 1.
