At least 40 sailors are missing and dozens are wounded, according to Arabic-language networks.
According to Arab media, the tragic accident occurred after mishandling and launching of a defensive missile by a destroyer of the Iranian fleet, against a combat frigate, in the Oman Sea.

#UPDATE: The Iranian Jamaican frigate is reported to have accidentally launched into the Konarak support ship with an anti-ship cruise missile during the exercises.
The Jamaran is a Moudge-class frigate armed with 4 C-802 (Noor) anti-ship cruise missiles. This is probably what was launched.
