Lufthansa is preparing to return to the air, restoring a large number of flights on its schedule starting June 1.
As the company announced, next month the destinations it serves will increase from 30 today to 106, including Crete and Mallorca, while its subsidiary, Swiss, will launch flights next month.
To that end, about 80 of today’s blocked aircraft will return to service. It is noteworthy that in recent months Lufthansa has withdrawn 700 of its 760 aircraft from the fleet.
Until then, the German airline, as announced, has extended its repatriation flight program until May 31. In this context, flights from Frankfurt to Athens, Porto and Gothenburg are also included.
