Those who have visited London are aware that there are two species of squirrels living in the city parks. Red and gray.
However, a British woman, AnnMarie MacMaster, saw a white squirrel in her garden.
According to scientists, it is essentially a red squirrel that, however, suffers from bleaching, so it has a different color than the others.

It should be noted that a few years ago wildlife photographer Andrew Fulton saw a white squirrel at Marbury Park in Northwich, UK. “It was the first time I saw a white squirrel, a rare case worldwide,” says Andrew.
It’s worth noting that there are many millions of red squirrels in the UK, but only one in a million is affected by a rare disease, leukemia, where the body does not produce pigments.
This is especially true in animals that have pigments other than melanin. Unlike albinism, in leukemia there are no red eyes that can affect the vision of the animal.
