Police investigations into violations of anti-coronation measures are ongoing.

Greek police services are carrying out controls across the country to establish a violation of measures to prevent and limit the spread of the coronavirus.

In this context, yesterday, Friday, May 8, for breach of the minimum distance and non-use of a mask, 20 violations were confirmed and an equal number of administrative fines of 150 euros were imposed. Specifically, 10 were recorded in Attica, 6 in the North Aegean, 2 in Thessaloniki, 1 in central Greece, and 1 in Crete. It should be noted that since the beginning of the measure, a total of 175 infractions have been confirmed and an equal number of administrative fines of 150 euros have been imposed.

At the same time, for unforeseen movements (with the exception of the prefecture of the place of residence, etc.), 116 violations were confirmed throughout the territory and an equal number of administrative fines of 150 euros were imposed. Specifically, 38 were recorded in central Macedonia, 27 in Thessaloniki, 15 in Epirus, 14 in Attica, 8 in eastern Macedonia and Thrace, 6 in western Greece, 4 in Thessaly, 3 in central Greece, and 1 in the Peloponnese. It should be noted that since the beginning of the measure, on Monday May 4, 2020, 530 violations have been confirmed throughout the territory and an equal number of administrative fines have been imposed.

For the business operation (health interests, shopping centers, etc.), despite the pertinent prohibition and other related cases, 7 violations were confirmed and 8 people were arrested. It should be noted that since the measure began on Thursday, March 12, 2020, 592 violations have been confirmed throughout the territory and 572 people have been arrested.

Inspections continue with undiminished intensity to ensure public health.
