The Holy Light did not light the candles of young and old this year. Access to the church was prohibited due to coronary measures and the only option to listen to the Divine Liturgy for the Resurrection was television.
However, in the neighborhoods of Athens and throughout the country, the faithful came out on the balconies and everyone chanted “Christ is risen”.
This year’s Resurrection, after all, has a deeper meaning and special symbolism, as everyone hopes that this “Golgotha” of the coronation will be overcome and that the “Resurrection” will come, that is, the return to rhythms daily.
