Meanwhile, today’s opening hours (M. Paraskevi) of supermarkets caused queues with people running to stores starting at 1:00 PM, resulting in queues within minutes. To facilitate consumers, the government has decided to extend the operation of supermarkets.
Overcrowding was also observed in popular markets. Many consumers ran to shopping malls as a result of which protective measures were not observed and police intervention was required.
