The situation in the Nea Smyrni district is normal.

The situation is normal today in the Nea Smyrni district of Larissa, which has been in quarantine since Thursday night, due to the increase in the number of crown cases in part of the district.

Traffic is limited, especially in the quarantined area, while police forces remain strong. From yesterday until the end of the quarantine, the energy supply centers are in operation for the distribution of basic foods, under the responsibility of the Municipality of Larissa, as has already been decided.

A Citizen Information Center has also been established within the quarantine and a call center so that citizens can communicate about any information related to the quarantine operating rules.

According to operational planning, information brochures are expected to be issued in the coming days, where they will inform citizens about the measures that have been taken, while providing all the information necessary for people’s daily lives.

At the same time, the meetings continue in the competent services of the Municipality of Larissa to redesign responsibilities, while other organizations and voluntary organizations are expected to participate in support planning.

Finally, mediators also play an important role, informing the population of the district about what is happening with the pandemic.
