The recovery of the sea of cow manure that had been located in the afternoon in the Palia Paralia area, at the height of the White Tower, was completed around 9:30 p.m. M. Thursday night.
The withdrawal was made by a private tow vehicle and after an operation by the Municipality of Thessaloniki and the Port Authority. The cow lay near the dock, although it appears to have belonged to a breeder as it had a mark on its ear. The deputy mayor for the Environment of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, Socrates Dimitriadis, stated that the carcass of the animal will be transferred to the incinerator in Chalastra. A sea turtle was spotted at the same location, which will recover on Friday.
